The minister’s apartments

The rooms known as the Napoleon III Apartments were used by the minister, not as the emperor’s residence.

Getting to this stop

Return via room 228, exit left and turn right down to 234. Cross 236 to the escalator. On level 1, continue through 500, 535, 536 and 539 to the minister’s staircase.

Getting to this stop

Follow the visitor route through rooms 540 to 543 and stop in the Grand Salon, room 544.

To the exit

Return through the apartments from room 544 to 535. Cross room 500 to the escalators, descend to level −1 and turn left towards the hall beneath the Pyramid.
